Shipping Policy

Last updated: 2026

This Shipping Policy explains how Arrows And Bows handles delivery of orders placed through our website.

We are based in North Norfolk, England, and currently ship to addresses within the United Kingdom, subject to the product-specific restrictions and delivery requirements set out below.

1. Order Processing

We aim to process orders as quickly as reasonably possible.

Orders are normally processed Monday to Friday, excluding UK public holidays.

Orders placed after our daily processing cut-off may be processed on the next working day.

During particularly busy periods, sales events, holidays or circumstances outside our reasonable control, processing may take longer.

Where there is a significant delay in processing your order, we will contact you where appropriate.

2. Delivery Areas

We currently deliver to eligible addresses within the United Kingdom.

Some products may be subject to additional delivery restrictions.

In particular, crossbows and certain crossbow parts are subject to specific age-verification and delivery requirements. Please see Section 7 below.

We may be unable to deliver certain products to particular locations where doing so would breach applicable law, carrier requirements or our legal obligations.

3. Delivery Charges

Delivery charges will be displayed at checkout before you complete your purchase.

The delivery charge may depend on factors including:

  • the delivery service selected;

  • the size and weight of your order;

  • the delivery destination; and

  • the type of product being ordered.

Where a product requires a specialist or age-verified delivery service, the applicable delivery charge will be shown at checkout where possible.

4. Estimated Delivery Times

Estimated delivery times will be shown at checkout or provided with your order confirmation where applicable.

Delivery estimates are not guarantees unless we have expressly agreed a guaranteed delivery date with you.

Once your order has been dispatched, you may receive tracking information where the selected delivery service provides tracking.

Delivery times can be affected by factors outside our reasonable control, including:

  • adverse weather;

  • courier delays;

  • industrial action;

  • public holidays;

  • unusually high parcel volumes;

  • incorrect or incomplete delivery information;

  • customs or regulatory requirements; or

  • other events outside our reasonable control.

5. Delivery Address

Please ensure that your delivery address is complete and accurate before submitting your order.

We are not responsible for delays or additional costs caused by an incorrect or incomplete address supplied by you, although this does not affect your statutory rights.

If you realise that you have provided an incorrect delivery address, please contact us as soon as possible at:

sales@arrowsandbows.co.uk

We cannot guarantee that an address can be changed after an order has been dispatched.

6. Tracking

Where tracking is available, we will provide tracking information once your order has been dispatched.

Tracking information is provided by the delivery carrier and may not update immediately after dispatch.

If tracking indicates that a parcel has been delivered but you have not received it, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can investigate with the carrier.

7. Crossbow and Crossbow Part Delivery

Crossbows and certain crossbow parts are age-restricted products and are subject to additional legal requirements.

We will only sell and deliver these products in accordance with applicable law.

Age verification

You must be at least 18 years old to purchase a crossbow or crossbow part from us.

For online or other remote purchases, we may be required to verify your age and identity before the sale can be completed.

This may require you to provide acceptable photographic identification and other information required to establish your identity and age.

We may use a specialist third-party age and identity verification service to carry out these checks.

If you do not satisfactorily complete the required verification, we may be unable to accept or dispatch your order.

Delivery verification

Where required by law, the person receiving a crossbow or crossbow part may be required to:

  • be aged 18 or over;

  • provide acceptable photographic identification;

  • confirm their identity;

  • demonstrate that they are the person entitled to receive the order; and

  • comply with any additional requirements imposed by the delivery service.

Where the law requires the purchaser and recipient to be the same person, we will not knowingly allow another person to receive the product on the purchaser's behalf.

No unattended delivery

Crossbows and crossbow parts will not be left unattended where doing so would breach applicable law or our delivery requirements.

This may mean that:

  • the parcel cannot be left in a safe place;

  • the parcel cannot be left with a neighbour;

  • the parcel cannot be left outside a property; or

  • delivery to a locker or collection point may not be available.

The precise delivery options available will depend on the law in force at the time, the product being purchased and the delivery service we use.

Failed delivery or verification

If the required age or identity verification cannot be completed, the delivery may be refused.

If a product is returned to us because the required delivery verification could not be completed, we will contact you to discuss the available options.

Where we are unable to lawfully complete the sale or delivery, we may cancel the order and issue any refund required by law.

Additional delivery charges may apply where a further delivery attempt is requested, where permitted by law and where the additional cost results from circumstances for which you are responsible.

8. Delivery of Bows and Arrows

Bows and arrows may require different packaging and delivery arrangements depending on their size, weight and construction.

Certain long or unusually shaped products may require a specialist delivery service.

Arrows are particularly susceptible to damage if inadequately packaged, so we take reasonable care to package them appropriately for transport.

Please inspect bows, arrows and other products promptly after delivery.

If an item arrives damaged, please contact us at sales@arrowsandbows.co.uk and provide photographs of the item and packaging where possible.

9. Delivery Problems and Damaged Parcels

Please inspect your order when you receive it.

If your parcel appears visibly damaged, you should, where reasonably possible, photograph the packaging before opening it.

If the contents are damaged, incorrect or incomplete, contact us at:

sales@arrowsandbows.co.uk

Please include:

  • your order number;

  • a description of the problem; and

  • photographs of the product and packaging where appropriate.

We will investigate the issue and provide an appropriate remedy where required.

Your statutory consumer rights are not affected by any reporting timeframe in this policy.

10. Missing Deliveries

If your order has not arrived within the expected delivery period, please contact us.

We will investigate the delivery with the relevant carrier where necessary.

If a delivery is confirmed as lost, we will deal with the matter in accordance with your statutory rights and the circumstances of the order.

11. Delivery to a Third Party

For ordinary products, you may be able to nominate another person to accept delivery on your behalf.

However, this does not apply where doing so would breach applicable law or our age-verification requirements.

For crossbows and other age-restricted products, the recipient may need to be the verified purchaser and meet the applicable age and identity requirements.

12. Refused or Failed Deliveries

If a delivery is refused or cannot be completed because you are unavailable, have provided an incorrect address, or have not completed a required verification process, the carrier may return the parcel to us.

If this happens, please contact us so that we can determine the appropriate next step.

Where a further delivery is possible, additional delivery charges may apply where permitted by law and where the additional cost results from circumstances for which you are responsible.

Where we are unable to fulfil the order, we will provide any refund required by law.

13. Delivery Times and Your Consumer Rights

Our estimated delivery times do not remove or limit your statutory consumer rights.

If a delivery date was agreed as essential and we fail to deliver within the applicable period, you may have specific rights under consumer law, including rights to cancel in certain circumstances.

We will work with you to resolve delivery problems as quickly as reasonably possible.

14. International Shipping

We currently offer shipping within the United Kingdom only unless we expressly agree otherwise.

If we begin offering international delivery, separate terms may apply, including customs, import restrictions, taxes, duties and product-specific legal restrictions.

Crossbows, bows, arrows and related products may be subject to restrictions in countries outside the UK.

We will not knowingly arrange an international shipment where doing so would breach applicable law.

15. Changes to This Shipping Policy

We may update this Shipping Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our delivery services, carriers, products or legal requirements.

The latest version will be published on our website.

Any change will not affect rights that you already have under applicable law or an existing contract.
