Refund policy
Refund & Returns Policy
Last updated: 2026
At Arrows And Bows, we want you to be happy with your purchase. This Refund & Returns Policy explains how to return products purchased from us and how refunds are handled.
This policy applies to purchases made through our website.
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights as a consumer. In particular, your legal rights relating to faulty, damaged, misdescribed or otherwise non-conforming goods are not affected by this policy.
1. Our 30-Day Returns Policy
We offer a 30-day returns period for eligible products.
This means that you have 30 days from the date you receive your order to request a return under our voluntary returns policy.
To be eligible for a return under our 30-day policy, the product must:
-
be in the condition in which you received it;
-
be unused and, where applicable, unworn;
-
have its original tags and labels, where applicable;
-
be returned with its original packaging where reasonably possible; and
-
be accompanied by proof of purchase.
We reserve the right to refuse a voluntary return where the product has been used, damaged or altered beyond what would reasonably be necessary to inspect it.
This does not affect your statutory rights where a product is faulty, defective, not as described, not of satisfactory quality or otherwise does not conform to the contract.
2. How to Request a Return
To request a return, please contact us at:
sales@arrowsandbows.co.uk
Please include:
-
your name;
-
order number;
-
the product you wish to return;
-
the reason for the return; and
-
photographs where they may help us assess the condition or problem with the product.
Please do not send an item back before contacting us.
If we approve your return, we will provide instructions explaining where and how to return the product.

Items returned without first contacting us may be delayed while we identify the order and determine the appropriate return procedure.
3. Return Postage
For a voluntary return under our 30-day returns policy, you are responsible for the cost of returning the product to us unless we agree otherwise.
Where we provide a return shipping label, we will tell you whether the cost of that label will be deducted from your refund.
If a product is faulty, damaged, incorrect or does not conform to the contract, we will deal with the return in accordance with your statutory rights and will not require you to bear costs that we are legally required to cover.
4. Your Statutory 14-Day Cancellation Right
If you are a UK consumer purchasing from us online, you may generally have a statutory right to cancel a qualifying distance contract within 14 days of receiving your goods, without giving a reason.
This statutory cancellation right is separate from our voluntary 30-day returns policy.
If you wish to exercise your statutory cancellation right, you must tell us clearly that you wish to cancel the contract within the applicable cancellation period.
You can do this by emailing:
sales@arrowsandbows.co.uk
You do not have to use a particular form, although you must provide a clear statement that you wish to cancel.
After telling us that you are cancelling, you must return the goods to us without undue delay and generally within 14 days of telling us that you wish to cancel.
Condition of goods following cancellation
When exercising a statutory cancellation right, you may handle the goods to the extent necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning, in a similar way to how you would reasonably be able to examine them in a shop.
You may be responsible for any diminished value resulting from handling beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect the goods.
This does not mean that you automatically lose your statutory cancellation right because packaging has been opened or a product has been inspected.
5. Products Excluded from Cancellation Rights
Certain statutory cancellation rights may not apply in circumstances specified by law.
Where a particular product or service is legally excluded from the statutory cancellation right, we will explain this to you before or at the time of purchase where required.
Our voluntary 30-day returns policy may also contain exclusions that do not affect your statutory rights.
If you are unsure whether a particular product can be returned, please contact us before purchasing or before opening or using the product.
6. Crossbows and Age-Restricted Products
Crossbows and certain crossbow parts are age-restricted products.
Our age-verification and delivery requirements continue to apply to any return involving a crossbow or crossbow part.
If you need to return a crossbow or crossbow part, please contact us before sending it.
We may provide specific return instructions and may require the product to be returned using an appropriate tracked or specialist delivery service.
You must not send a crossbow or crossbow part to us using a method that would breach applicable law or the requirements of the carrier.
Where a crossbow or crossbow part is returned because it is faulty, damaged, incorrect or otherwise does not conform to the contract, we will deal with the return in accordance with your statutory rights.
7. Damaged, Faulty or Incorrect Items
Please inspect your order as soon as reasonably possible after receiving it.
If your item:
-
arrives damaged;
-
is defective or faulty;
-
is the wrong product;
-
is missing components; or
-
does not match the description or specification,
please contact us at:
sales@arrowsandbows.co.uk
as soon as reasonably possible.
Please provide your order number and, where appropriate, photographs of the product, packaging or damage.
We will assess the issue and, where appropriate, arrange a repair, replacement, refund or other remedy in accordance with your statutory rights.
You do not lose your statutory rights simply because you did not report a problem immediately, although contacting us promptly can help us investigate delivery damage or other issues more quickly.
8. Items Returned in an Unacceptable Condition
For voluntary returns under our 30-day returns policy, we may refuse the return or reduce the refund where the product has been used, damaged or handled beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect it.
This does not affect your statutory rights where the product is faulty, defective, misdescribed or otherwise does not conform to the contract.
Where you exercise a statutory cancellation right, any reduction in the amount refunded will only be made where permitted by law and where the goods have been diminished in value through handling beyond what was reasonably necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.
9. Sale Items and Promotional Products
Products purchased during a sale or promotional period may be returned under our 30-day voluntary returns policy unless the relevant promotion expressly states otherwise.
However, purchasing an item at a reduced price does not remove or reduce your statutory consumer rights.
We will not exclude statutory remedies merely because a product was purchased at a discounted price.
10. Gift Cards
Gift cards are non-refundable except where required by law.
Nothing in this section affects any statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded.
11. Exchanges
We do not normally offer direct exchanges.
If you want a different product, size, colour or specification, the simplest option is generally to return the original product and place a new order.
This does not affect your statutory rights where a replacement is an appropriate remedy for faulty, defective or non-conforming goods.
12. Refunds for Voluntary Returns
Once we receive your returned product, we will inspect it and confirm whether your return has been accepted.
If your return is approved under our 30-day voluntary returns policy, we will issue the refund to the original payment method.
We aim to process approved refunds within 10 business days of approving the return.
Your bank or payment provider may take additional time to make the funds available in your account.
If you have not received an approved refund after a reasonable period, please contact us at:
sales@arrowsandbows.co.uk
13. Refunds Following Statutory Cancellation
Where you exercise a statutory right to cancel a qualifying distance contract, we will provide the refund required by law.
Generally, this will include the cost of the standard delivery option you originally selected, although we are not required to refund any additional amount you paid for an upgraded or express delivery service.
We may withhold the refund until we have received the goods back or you have provided evidence that you have returned them, whichever occurs first, where permitted by law.
Refunds will normally be made using the same payment method that you used for the original transaction unless we agree otherwise.
14. Return of Faulty or Non-Conforming Goods
If a product is faulty, defective, damaged, incorrectly supplied or otherwise does not conform to the contract, you may have statutory rights to a repair, replacement, price reduction or refund, depending on the circumstances and applicable law.
Where we are legally responsible for the return costs, we will not require you to pay those costs.
If we ask you to return a faulty or incorrect product, we will provide appropriate return instructions.
15. Products Damaged Through Misuse
Our products are designed to be used safely and in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
A product may not be considered faulty where damage has resulted from:
-
misuse;
-
improper storage;
-
accidental damage;
-
modification or alteration;
-
use contrary to manufacturer instructions;
-
inappropriate maintenance; or
-
unlawful or unsafe use.
This does not affect your statutory rights where the underlying problem was present when the product was supplied or otherwise amounts to a failure to conform to the contract.
16. Return Packaging
Please use appropriate packaging when returning an item.
Where possible, use the original packaging.
You are responsible for taking reasonable care of goods while they are in your possession before they are returned to us.
For larger, heavier or specialist products, including certain bows and crossbows, we may provide specific return instructions to ensure that the product can be transported safely and lawfully.
17. International Returns
Our returns arrangements may vary depending on the country to which an order was delivered.
Where we sell or deliver outside the United Kingdom, additional customs, tax, carrier or legal requirements may apply.
Nothing in this policy is intended to remove any mandatory consumer rights that apply to an international sale.
